I just read an article on “careers that don’t lead to high paying salaries,” and it made me wonder if money is a deciding factor when choosing a college and major for most people?
When I started college, I wanted to be either an Art or English teacher, and I didn’t even think about what kind of money I would make. I did think about the possibility of summers off… I just wanted to choose something that I was passionate about. I ended up doing neither but did graduate with an English and Journalism degree.
So, what do you think about when you are deciding where to go to college and what to major in, and is potential salary a consideration?
